Honoring Equity

The Problem

  • Opportunity varies widely based on school, zip code, and background

  • Boundary and program changes risk deepening inequities without student input

  • First-generation, newcomer, EML, and special education students face systemic barriers

  • Not all students are equally prepared for life after high school

My Solutions

  • Maintain free AP and IB exams to ensure equal academic access

  • Advocate for equity in the Boundary Study and Program Analysis processes

  • Increase access to student-friendly feedback forms, especially for impacted middle schoolers

  • Expand college and career readiness through career days, workplace field trips, and growth of the Summer RISE program

  • Ensure special education programs are fully funded in the Operating Budget
Promote inclusive curricula that reflect race, gender, and sexual orientation

  • Streamline credit transfer for newcomers
Expand EML Therapeutic Counselors (ETCs) to every high school
